Spending some time prepping for my roadtrip. Made a donation to Red Cross to help out Houston. The stories from Houston are unbelievable.
Anyway, I woke up this morning in a little bit of a dark mood (not related to retirement, just some stuff going on).
Here is a haiku for the day:
Retirement is great
I am smiling every day
Except when I’m not
UPDATE:
I went for a nice walk at Longwood today and had lunch there outside by the pump house (one of my friends and I call that area ‘Paris.’) Tried the Victory Oro Blanco beer – it is made with grapefruit grown on the Longwood property! Each year Victory teams up with Longwood to make a special Longwood beer. Yes, I liked it.
I also neglected to mention earlier that I bought my ONE WAY ticket to Boise. That trip is in a couple weeks. I have no idea what or where I’m doing/going after that. Or how/when I’m getting home. So, that will be interesting for me. Especially since I usually like planning things to the ‘nth’ degree.
OK. So right now I am smiling.
