I decided to spend a few days at the beach, which is about 2 hours away by car. Packed up and headed out. About an hour into the drive my car said it sensed low air pressure in one of the tires. I’ve gotten this ‘alarm’ if the tires are just low (like with temp changes). I took my hands off the wheel to check if the car was veering at all and it wasn’t, so I figured I’d wait til I got to the beach to check the air in the tires. Continue reading “Nail in my Tire!”
A New Painting … for Auction
For a while now I’ve been thinking about doing a painting that was specific for the times we’re living in now. At first, I thought about doing one with a roll of toilet paper, like one of those Andy Warhol Campbell’s soup can paintings. Then I thought about doing one with TP and hand sanitizer too. But then, after thinking about it for a while, I decided that nobody would probably want to hang those on their wall. While cleaning up my office, I came across a postcard of a dock, and then, the idea hit! I would paint a photo of a dock and put a little roll of TP at the end of it! My plan was also to auction the painting off on Facebook and donate all of the proceeds to SILO, where I have donated about 40 notecards so far. Continue reading “A New Painting … for Auction”
2020 – Part 2 of ??
Okay okay, time to add some stuff. I started writing down a list of things that have happened that are noteworthy, weird, strange, or all three. Been a lot of those this year so far. I decided to create a new category called COVID Diaries to make it easier to look for these posts later. Continue reading “2020 – Part 2 of ??”
2020 – Part 1 of ??
At the beginning of this pandemic, I found it difficult to even mention the name of the virus that caused it. As I type this, I see that I still have that difficulty. I wasn’t going to write about what’s been going on because I just didn’t want to think about it that much. But so much has happened so far this year, and the fact is, when I reread posts that I wrote at a later time, I’m always reminded of something I had forgotten. So, I’ve decided I’m just going to put down some thoughts about all the things going on in the world. It will be interesting to read this a few years from now, I think. I plan to update this when/if something else of note happens (But I’m sure it’ll be a ‘when’ not an ‘if’). Continue reading “2020 – Part 1 of ??”
Daily Life
I haven’t been writing much because I felt like I didn’t have much to write about. But today, maybe I do.
I haven’t really been around people for about 3 weeks now (I started physical distancing before it was made mandatory). The last time I was at the grocery store was probably about 3 weeks ago. I got takeout at a local restaurant a few times since then to keep my tummy happy for dinner. The last time I drove anywhere was Monday (today it’s Friday). Continue reading “Daily Life”
