UPDATE: Bill’s scarecrow, Eddie the Eagle, won the Scarecrow competition! And, I made it into the local newsletter!
I realize now that I am way out of order on these posts, but, I guess that’s the way it will have to be. When I get a chance I’ll probably add more sub-categories to make it easier to read posts in the right order and grouped together with the posts they should be with.
But anyway, I am in Wales now, on the Gower Peninsula near Llanmadoc. We’ve rented a cottage to recuperate from the Scarecrow Festival that we were working at for the last few days. By working I mean – picking up and moving / setting up about 60 chairs, cleaning and moving tables, “pie heaters,” tents, grills, and ovens. Cutting rolls, putting cheese in some for cheeseburgers, serving people, etc.
Plus we walked around the village to look at the various scarecrows, and make guesses to submit for the possibility of winning 100 British Pounds. The theme for this year was The 80’s.

This is a potato baker! 3 drawers to bake them, an upper section for a warmer, and the flame is in the bottom part.
Here’s my submission for guesses for the scarecrows. I had to get help from Bill and Anthea for some of the “British only” ones.
