Fort Bragg

As promised here is a post about Fort Bragg.  I stayed at a great hotel in the harbor called NOYO Harbor Inn.

Here’s the view from the dining patio.  I got there in time for happy hour!  And for some reason, I haven’t thought of taking photos of hotel rooms lately, so I don’t have any.  Hard to see here but there are some sea lions on one of the docks and they were very vocal!

Here’s a zoomed in view – you can see about 4-5 sea lions on the dock.

This is the view from my smallish balcony, facing the ocean.  If I stayed there again, I would splurge for the harbor view side in the main building.  But, I took too long to make up my mind and lost the opportunity this time.

Next day I went for a walk into town, about 1.5 miles one way.

Thought this sign was funny:

http://larryspringmuseum.org/ – walked by here.  Larry Spring passed away in 2009 but his memory lives on.  Everything still looked intact but not sure if the museum opens anymore.

This is a Tattoo museum / store, but, wasn’t open that day.  Darn!

Marine discovery center.  This is a skeleton of an Orca whale.

I know I’ve included a lot of photos of this bridge, but I think it looks cool how the cloud cover looks like it’s sitting on the bridge.

Okay, so this was Fort Bragg.  A cute, old-hippie kinda place.  Everybody was very nice here.

Next stop – Santa Rosa!
