Yesterday I had nothing on my calendar! So, first, I cleaned the floors. Vacuumed and then damp mopped. I used an eCloth swiffer-type mop. If you haven’t used eCloth products before, check them out! All you need is water and they remove 99% of all bacteria. https://us.e-cloth.com/
Then I strolled to the post office to check my mail, and then I decided to go to the Dawson Cole Gallery in town. I hadn’t been in in a long time. Here’s their link: https://www.carmel.dawsoncolefineart.com/
I had seen that there was an interesting painter there – she’s having an opening reception on August 12th as it turns out – and, to my surprise, she uses egg shells in her art! Her name is Larisa Safaryan. I just think it’s the coolest thing.
Anyway, I started talked with Cyd who works there, and we got into a conversation about when I moved to Carmel and I was telling her how I’m supposed to be here, when, what did my eyes spy but a copy of 65deg magazine! I told her that to prove my point, for her to look at this, and I turned to the first page of the little article about me. She couldn’t believe it (I still kind of can’t believe it either, to be honest!)
She read the article and mentioned Tarot readings so I’m going to do one for her and one for her boyfriend! She also invited me to the opening reception for Larisa!
Then I decided to stop by Manzoni for a glass of wine. I walked in and there were 3 women from Utah there. By the time they left we were good friends!
And another couple came in. They were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! I ended up talking with the husband, Wayne (Aronsen), for a while. He wrote a book, “Up Through The Darkness.” I just ordered it on Amazon – it’s coming in a few days – excited to read it!
Anyway, I told him about the book that I’m just starting on, and he gave me some pointers and we just had a really nice conversation about all kinds of things. They said if I ever wanted to place to stay in SoCal I was more than welcome.
So, a day without any agenda turned into quite the unexpected and magical day!
