The last few days have been a flurry of activity. I arrived in Boise on Thursday, and the last of us arrived on Sunday evening. I am staying in Jay and Carolyn’s RV, and Tony and Frank each have their RV here, so we have quite the little community happening! Charlie and Steve (and their spouses) are staying at a nearby hotel.
So, here is where I’m sitting while I write – it is so nice here!
AND I upgraded my hosting package, so now I can add as many photos as I want!

I’m going to backtrack a little since I am sitting alone in the house and don’t have distractions to make me forget to add stuff 🙂
Friday, I rode bikes with Jay and Carolyn on the greenbelt. I posted some photos from that ride last time. Later we went to the Hyde Park festival and climbed up the big hill behind the park. That thing was steep! Almost scary steep – if you fell, you would slide/roll almost all the way down to the bottom. No way to catch yourself and there was loose sand/gravel on it. So, the next day, after Frank and Linda arrived, we went back there and climbed it again!

In the mornings I have been going on walks with Jay, and now Tony, and Bob the dog. Sometimes we go to Eagle Island State Park, and sometimes we go to the foothills. Kenn went with us too. Here are some photos from our walks:

Monday we went to The Springs – a fancy hot springs outside of Eagle, about an hour away. They have menus all around the pool and you can order drinks and food. The pools are around 99 deg – pretty warm. It was raining so it felt good to be in warm water. Kenn didn’t get in the water but he came along for the ride.

That evening we came back and had a feast. Tony had caught several Dungeness crab (the best kind of crab in my humble opinion) and got some fresh corn on their way down. They also made deviled eggs, and a really delicious crab and artichoke dip. I wisely chose to skip the Hash and stay with everybody and have dinner at the house. You will drool when you see this photo:
Tuesday it was raining again so we went to another hot springs – Burgdorf Springs. Burgdorf is about two hours away from Boise. We encountered SNOW on our way there, and actually were getting snowed on while we were in the pool! This springs is much more rustic – outhouses, BYOB/food, and they had 3 pools – one big one and two smaller ones. Unlike The Springs, which was more like a regular swimming pool, the bottom of Burgdorf is gravelly – felt good on the feet. And the two smaller pools were HOT – 113 deg! I started to get in but it was too frickin’ hot – almost scalding – so, I nixed that one. The big pool was probably right around 103 deg and that felt mighty fine.
On the way back from Burgdorf we stopped in McCall and had a bite to eat and a beer. Beautiful area!

A rainbow (hard to tell) – the rainbow spanned all the way across, but the camera couldn’t fit it in.
Today it is raining again, and there were some pretty loud thunderstorms earlier. We’re all kind of catching up on our own stuff and plan to go into downtown Boise and walk around later.
