Yesterday I had my annual gyno appointment (I know – TMI) – things seem fine – and then later in the day I got my hair ‘done.’ I was waffling back and forth about going to a restaurant for dinner after my hair appt. Half of me wanted to go and half didn’t. On top of that, I didn’t know where I felt like going. But I knew I wanted to try somewhere new.
I don’t like driving/parking on Main Street Newark DE because usually parking is a pain in the @ss, but, I thought, well, maybe since it’s Tuesday it won’t be so bad. And the hair place is near there. And I kind of wanted to try out the Stone Balloon Ale House. The chef there “Beat Bobby Flay” a few years ago.
So, I told myself, ‘well, I’ll just drive down Main Street and if it’s a pain to park or the restaurant is too full, I’ll just go home.’ So, that’s what I did. Parking was easy peasy. Walked to the Ale House. A few seats left at the bar, so, I guess I would be eating out.
Ended up sitting next to a guy (Josh) who knew the bartender (Dustin). They were having a conversation and then Dustin asks Josh if he could make him some frames for his paintings. So then I asked him if he was a painter, and he said he was just beginning. But Josh had some of Dustin’s paintings on his phone so I could see them. They were pretty cool. Then I ended up in a good conversation for the rest of the evening, learning about Instagram (Josh thinks I should get on there), talking about painting, and just life in general. It was a lot of fun.
And then I got all motivated to post all of my artwork to my blog. I learned how to add a gallery (titled My Artwork) so you can see everything in one place. Maybe I’ll put price tags on them once I think about what I think the pricing should be.
Anyway, shout out to Josh and Dustin for getting me motivated to update the blog and finish my latest painting!
Oh, and PS – I ended up telling Josh about my Lululemon post, and then we started talking about how much we like Prana clothing! Ha ha!
