I seem to be on a roll with the blog today, so I thought I would share some opinions of some movies I’ve seen and books I’ve read.
Book: “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine”
I loved this book. I got it because it was on the NY Times Bestseller List. The voice it was written in was just so unique, and there were a lot of funny and touching moments in it.
Book: “The Pilgrimage” by Paolo Coelho
My friend Frank lent me this book. This book sounds autobiographical – I’m not sure if what happened in it is true – but it chronicles this guy’s pilgrimage on the El Camino de Santiago. It was a perfect read to finish up right before my trip!
Book: “The Little Paris Bookshop” by Nina George
The only way I can describe it is, it is a lovely, lovely read.
Book: ” Hard Travel to Sacred Places” by Rudolph Wurlitzer
My friend Alex lent me this book. I don’t really know how to describe it. But, I couldn’t put it down! It was written by the guy who wrote the screenplay for Little Buddha.
Movie: “Shoplifters”
It was up for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars this year. I downloaded it and watched it on the plane when I flew back from Cali a few weeks ago.
