Breakfast on our last day in Santiago de Compostela offially ended our REI Trip, although it wasn’t a group breakfast – just breakfast at the hotel whenever you made it there.
Cilla and I had breakfast, packed up, had the lobby hold our suitcases, and went out walking around.
We decided to go to the Museo de Pobo Galego.

Inside the building, at the northwest corner, is a triple helical staircase which, for its technical and structural audacity is a good example of the virtuosity of Domingo de Andrade. You can read about it in the link I provided.
We ran into Matt and Margarita at the museum!
After the museum we strolled around a park behind it
We were going to try to get something to eat, but honestly, I was pretty hungover from the night before and I wasn’t hungry, so, we didn’t. I certainly was paying for the fun I had the night before!
Anyway, Cilla and went back to the hotel and then went into the Iglesia de San Francisco which was next door.
After that, it was time to head to the train station.

We got to Madrid and got to our hotel, which was an easy walk from the train station. Cilla pretty much immediately went to bed, not feeling well. I had dinner and a glass of wine in the lobby of the hotel. Unfortunately whatever Cilla had, I got, and had a nasty awakening around 3 in the morning.
And that’s all I’ll say about that.
Later that morning we pulled ourselves together and got to the airport. I really had to muscle myself through that day.
And then, sadly I had to bid adieu to a wonderful country. Adios España! Voy a volver!
