Okay, I’m going to go a little out of order. I’ve been in Carmel since the beginning of Sept so I have some catching up to do but this thing that happened can’t wait for me to write about it in chronological order!
Last Sunday I followed my normal Carmel Sunday routine – walk over to Nielsen’s Market, pick up the Sunday NY Times and SF Chronicle and a breakfast sandwich then walk back to the house. It was a nice day so I decided to sit outside.
I put my stuff down, went inside to take off my shoes and get my glasses and came back out and sat down.
As soon as I sat down, a blue jay flew over and landed on the roof near me. Then, it flew down and was sitting on a railing about 4 feet away from me. Then it jumped onto the table. It stood there looking at me for a while and talking to me.
Then it jumped down to the ground. I had the thought that it was going to nip my foot. It looked at my feet for a couple minutes and then hopped over and lightly nipped my big toe!
Then it hopped up onto the steps. I had the door ajar. I had the thought that it was going to try to fly inside and sure enough as soon as I got up to close the door it flew over to it but luckily didn’t go in!
Then it flew off.
I stayed outside, ate my breakfast sandwich and read some of the paper. No blue jay.
Later that afternoon I was inside and I heard the blue jay calling. I walked over to the window, which has sheer white curtains, to see where it was. It was on the roof of the house next door. As soon as I saw it (through the curtains) it flew over to my window! I said no no you can’t come in and I cranked the window closed enough so it couldn’t fit through. And it took off.
I haven’t had any more interactions with it since.
But on Tuesday I attended a Psychic Circle. I related the story to Kristen the psychic and she said it was my dad! I had been feeling overwhelmed about my travelling, and where am I going to end up, and trying to figure out where I’m going to live. She said he showed up to show his support and that he’s helping line things up for me as far as where I will live, and that it be obvious and come to me rather than me having to search for it. I also mentioned to Kristen that I was having a bout of sciatica. She said that looking for a house was a real pain in the @ss, literally! And that it’s a sign I should slow down and rest. My dad was always telling me to slow down and rest so what a message to receive!
I was pretty down for a few days but that message sure helped. My sciatica is still here but it seems to be getting better. Plus, I’m getting a massage tomorrow!
Hope you enjoyed this post – talk soon!
