I recently decided to be a part of the Global Roots project. You pay $39 and receive a 6×6 canvas, easel, paints and paintbrushes. You don’t get to pick the color palette. Then, you make a painting and send a photo of it back.
I got the light blue color palette (white, light blue, cerulean blue, red, yellow, purple). And here’s what I did with it:
They receive a bunch of these paintings from people all over North America, and then put them in a huge mural which is then printed onto aluminum and placed in a yet-unnamed city.
Here’s a link to the mural (in progress as of today 9/28/24). Though I submitted my painting around 2 weeks ago, I don’t see it in the mural yet. Once I see it there I’ll update the post. And FYI i didn’t add the heart in the middle on purpose! Enjoy!
