I’m pretty sure we did the following on Monday 11/8 – a trip to Kona to hang at Magic Sands beach and then an evening swim with the Manta Rays.
When the Manta Ray thing first came up I felt very fearful about doing it – swimming in open water! Yikes! But as I sat with it more, I just felt like I didn’t want to do it. Not out of fear, but because I didn’t want to intrude on their space. But first, some beach time!

I loved seeing this dad with his daughter. They boogie-boarded – she riding on his back with her arms around his neck, he with a Go-Pro to capture the moment. She was so joyful and he was so loving. Beautiful!

After a few hours in the sun, it was time to head over to the Manta Ray adventure … Here is Honokohau Marina, where we started. The weather was perfect!

Short stroll down to the boat

Not sure why everybody looks so worried here – maybe we were receiving instructions on what to do. Our host was Captain Curtis!

Dom the fierce ocean Goddess!

Badass Lisa Rene – also an ocean Goddess!

Time to get in the water! Snorkel gear reacted to black light – fun!

Beautiful crescent moon with Jupiter. The stars feel so close here.

I think there is a ray in that photo somewhere … maybe you can find it!

After the snorkeling, we headed over to Herbivores for a tasty dinner and then back to the retreat late – 1030 pm!
