My cousin Ted and his wife Amy have a tradition of walking across the Golden Gate Bridge on New Year’s Day and they invited me along this year. It was a beautiful day, a bit brisk but nice. And we went early so it wasn’t terribly crowded. Here are a bunch of photos:

These next two shots look identical except the lighting looks different. I think somehow my flash got turned on so I think the first one was with flash on, and then I figured it out and turned it off
We walked along an abandoned pier – there were people fishing for crabs with fishing poles
After getting back to the car we had a nice hot Korean lunch. Yum! This dish was in a heated up (hot!) ceramic bowl and sizzled and steamed for quite a while. Rice at the bottom got a nice crispy crunch on the bottom. There were a bunch of different seafood in the bowl. YUMMY!
So, my time in the bay area was soon coming to a close and I decided to head back to Carmel in a few days. Stay tuned for more!
