Beanie and I decided to visit Filoli Gardens on 12/30. We got our tix ahead of time but unfortunately the night tix were sold out (lots of Christmas Lights around). Here’s a link: https://filoli.org/
It was a beautiful sunny day which made the visit all the better!
Here are some photos:

I had always thought that Filoli was someone’s italian last name. Was quite surprised to find out it stands for FIght-LOve-LIve. Pretty cool!

First we went for a walk along the nature trail. It was nice – winded through the woods, a little bit of up and down, and came out to a little nature center with an exhibition of different local animals that were stuffed – hawks, owls, moles, fox, deer, bobcat … and some other ones I can’t remember
Here’s the main house. We were able to tour just the first floor.

Some old school light switches

BIG dumbwaiter

Kenn meeting some friends

There were several different gardens – all with a different feel

After Filoli we stopped at the Pulgas Water Temple. Neither of us had been there despite how close it was. Here’s a link: https://sfpuc.org/learning/come-visit/pulgas-water-temple

I’m not sure what day we took this photo. Beanie and I were driving back from somewhere north on Rt 1, and there is a pull-out by Pacifica to take a photo. That’s where this is from – overlooking the town of Pacifica

Anyway, there is more to come about the Bay Area so stay tuned!
