Around the Bay Area – Part 2 San Fran

I spent a few days hanging out with Beanie and going for walks with her and her doggie Ginger. I’ve taken so many photos there that I didn’t bother taking too many this trip.

Later in the week cousin Ted asked me if I wanted to go to the DeYoung museum and I picked Sunday as the day. I forgot that I was checking out of one BnB and into another (the first one was already booked for this week). So, on Sunday I had to get up super early, get my stuff organized and move it to the other house in time to get to Ted’s house to get to the DeYoung museum by 9:45. No small feat!

And, I had trouble with the lock at the new BnB, which cost me some time, and I was already running late. Talk about some stress! Anyway, we got the door open, I unloaded my stuff, shut and locked the door and realized I forgot my sunglasses. Door wouldn’t open again but I didn’t have time to deal with it so I just left.

I was worried about getting there late, but then I saw this (I was stopped at a red light) – and I realized the universe was telling me everything would be all right, and it turned out I actually was only about 5 minutes late getting to Ted’s. Gratitude and no more worries!

So, we made it to Golden Gate Park in plenty of time. Here are some photos – first is a nice view of the bay from the tower at the DeYoung.

I thought this was a funny photo. The guy was watching a movie in the museum, and you can see the speaker above him with the cone. For those of you oldsters it reminded me of the TV show “Get Smart.”

After the museum we walked around the Presidio – LucasFilms has quite a few buildings there with lots of familiar faces.
