I’ve been here for about a week and a half now. Had a nice weekend – cousin Ted and his wife Amy stopped by on their way back home from Morro Bay on Friday, and one of my other cousins, Beanie, came down for a 1 night stay, and, their timing overlapped!
We hung out together for a while but Ted and Amy were ready to head home, so Beanie and I went back to the house to get her settled in.
Actually I got a little ahead of myself – these photos are from a walk I went on before Beanie arrived. It’s along Scenic Drive, and the house is a Frank Lloyd Wright house: https://franklloydwrightsites.com/california/walker/walker_house.html

Later I walked over to The Pocket. I had been there a few times before, in December and January. I met the bartender there – Jose – in December, and he remembered me when I returned in January, and also this time! This is fried cauliflower with hummus. Really good!

Okay, so now I’m caught up. Now, here are some photos from a walk Beanie and I went on:

There are a lot of faery / gnome / magical little places tucked all over Carmel!
After our walk we were trying to decide what to do for dinner. Beanie came up with the idea of having a charcuterie spread. So, that’s what we did! I had gotten some seeded sourdough and really good cherry tomatoes at the Farmer’s Market on Thursday and we picked up some cheese, salami and olives. It was quite the feast!

Next day we decided to venture over to Pacific Grove and be nosey and go to some realtor open houses. We walked along the bay and came across the visitor center and got some info. Beanie met a friend!

Kenn liked it there!

And we just happened to happen upon a mama deer with 2 babies. They stopped and looked at us as we looked at them, and then mama strolled off. The babies were trying to catch up! So cute!

We got back home and hung out for a little bit and had some snacks and then it was time for Beanie to go. Kenn was sad to see her go.

So, that’s been my last few days here. Tomorrow I’m going to a Sound Bath Meditation – looking forward to that!
Talk soon!
