Yesterday was an interesting day. Went for a nice walk along Scenic Drive in the morning. Then walked around town in the afternoon. Had lunch outside at Alvarado Street Brewery and found a great cheese shop.
Went to Bruno’s Market to pick up some potatoes, and then walked back to the house. Two cop cars were pulled up behind a truck parked across the street. Next thing I know, one cop car moves to block the street at one end, and a firetruck comes and blocks the street from the other end. Another firetruck shows up. And a ‘commander’ police car shows up.
The police divert walkers from walking on the street.
There was a fairly big group of police and firemen standing around apparently waiting for someone else to show up.
Around an hour later, I see two guys arrive (yes, I was being nosey and watching to see what was going on!). They put on white zip up suits with hoods, and full respirators and face masks. What??
Then one of them yells to the cops – “we’re going in!”
They put some stuff in bags. Then one of the cops asked to look in the bags to see what they got. They looked and then, one by one, they all left.
And the truck is still parked across the street!
