What Have I Been Up To? Astrology Soul Journey

Well, it’s been a while since I did an update, so here goes.  My friend Karen was here to visit me for the last week and just left this morning so now I have some time to catch up.

At the end of the last post I mentioned that I was doing a Soul’s Mission thing, and now I’ve done it.  It was astrology based.  And, it was very interesting!  The main shocker was that Ana, the astrologer/intuitive, told me that I am a Leo, not a Cancer!  It took a few days (maybe more) for me to get my head around this, but, after thinking about it for a bit, I think she’s right.

UPDATE:  I printed out the chart that Ana sent me and it says I’m a Cancer, not a Leo!  But I do have a lot of planets in Leo so I do have some Leo characteristics.  I feel better now!

After the workshop she sent us copies of our charts and a release ritual to use for the new moon each month.  Apparently I have a “stellium” (3 or more planets in one sign or house) in Leo in the 8th house.  I just looked that up and it can indicate interest in things of a spiritual nature, like Tarot and using your intuition – both things that I do.

So, as I said, my Sun Sign is Leo.  Characteristics that she listed include: A leader, creative, child-like but independent, fun-loving, hard worker but enjoy life, intelligent, perfectionist.  I would say those all pretty much sound like me.  Whoa!

My ascendant or rising sign is Sagittarius.  Ana said that your rising sign is kind of like your aura, or what people may be looking to get from me – and is the higher expression – life path or mission.  I can see the shadow expression and turn them to high expression.  Examples of the higher expressions for me are optimism, spontaneity, exploration, adventure, truth seeker, teacher, higher learner, athletic, traveler, exuberant, risk-taking, fun-loving, into philosophy.  Shadow expressions can be restlessness, getting stuck in dogma, impatience.  I can see that about me.  Whoa again!

My moon sign is Taurus.  Ana says this is my emotional nature – what do I need to do to take emotional care of myself.  Predictability feels nourishing for me.  Sometimes I can shut down trying to figure too many things out.

Anyway, it was pretty interesting and I may do a follow-up session with Ana.  I’ll keep you posted!  Talk soon!
