I didn’t have to rush to Santa Rosa and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens were just a mile down the road so I decided to stop in. Took a bunch of photos (of course)
The gardens have four miles of trails and cover 47 acres of land. It was a nice place to stop and take a nice walk / hike. There are sculptures interspersed throughout and a bunch of different areas (e.g., Rose garden, Dahlia garden, Heath and Heather collection, etc)

In the Dahlia Garden

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a rhododendron with so many different colors!

Cute little garden shed

They have gates up to keep deer out of certain areas

Heath and heather collection

I decided to have lunch – clam chowder which was really good! This is where I sat. Cute little area!

After spending some time at the gardens it was time to head to Santa Rosa. Talk soon!
