As you know, I got home from Spain and England a while ago. And then I realized I neglected to include some more photos and stuff from Wales and England – actually, some of the coolest parts! So, this would have been on May 11, 2019.
And then I had other stuff to do, and then I went on a 2-week trip to Los Angeles and Tucson, and, so, now, finally, I will update the England-Wales stuff!
The day we left our little cottage, we decided to travel along the southern coast of The Gower. I had been thinking I needed to stop in at least one castle in Wales while we were there, and as it turns out we passed Weobley Castle on our way home. Here is some info on it (when the article mentions it is a “Cadw” property, Cadw stands for “Welsh Heritage”)

Here is our journey there! Check these roads out – only really wide enough for about 1 – 1/3 cars, but they had “pull-outs” every now and again for opposing cars to get around each other. Not for the faint of heart!

It was 4 BP entry fee per person. Not too bad and supports the family doing the upkeep of the castle!

Of course Kenn wanted some photos!

Nice views of the inlet from the castle

They even had their own little Roomba thing to mow the lawn. It seemed to do all right – was a little slow, but, if it did do the whole lawn, it looked pretty darn good!

I think I’ll end this post and break the drive back into different parts. So, this was Weobley Castle, not too far from our cottage in Llanmadoc. Next stop is Rhossili Bay!
