For the past several months or so, I have been doing this Breathwork as ‘developed’ by David Elliott. It’s healing breath, and it’s pretty potent in my opinion, so, now that I know how to do it, I wanted to learn how to show others how to heal themselves with this breathwork. I signed up for the Level 1 training (there are 5 levels) that took place in LA.

So, on this trip, I flew into LAX, took the SB Airbus to Santa Barbara, spent 3 nights there, then took Amtrak to Union Station in LA where I got a ride to my hotel (the Omni in downtown LA). I spent 5 nights at the Omni.
Of course, Kenn came with me. Here’s a chronicle of what we did on our trip. Hope you enjoy!

The plane was newer than I’ve flown on in a while – had a screen on the back of the seat in front of me with on-demand movies! I finally got to see “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.” I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I liked it a lot. Was a little concerned about the story since I knew what had really happened, but, without giving too much away, just think of it as a similar story twist to what was in Inglorious Bastards.
Got in early to LAX and quickly got my luggage. Here’s the waiting area for the SB Airbus. It was a nice ride. Great driver, not too crowded. Met a man who was pleasant to talk to and who, as it turns out, is a globally known mediator. He was so humble I never would have guessed!

I stayed at the Hotel Santa Barbara. It was a great central location right on State Street. Had to pull the gate open and closed on the old elevator!

First evening in SB went to Sandbar, almost directly across the street from the hotel. Had ceviche with tortilla and plantain chips. And a margarita too of course. But, after a long day of travelling it was back to the hotel to chill, so I didn’t linger here too long. Was nice because I could sit outside though!
Woke up to see the sunrise the next morning. Wild cloud!
I just have to throw this photo in here – a similarly shaped cloud from Lake Tahoe in Sept 2018. Must be a California thing …
Anyway, I got up early and went for a walk around town before all the stores opened. Not much traffic either.

Caught this photographer taking this photo. Say “Chez Mon Ewe” out loud. I didn’t ‘get it’ until I did.
Later I had a Kundalini yoga class – first time doing that kind of yoga! I snuck a photo of the studio. It was a nice space.
There is a juice bar associated with the studio. I had this smoothie. Can’t remember what it was called now but the color was spectacular and it tasted good too!
After yoga I walked around a little bit – this is part of the El Paseo outdoor mall.
That evening I had dinner at my friend Ellen’s house.
Next day Ellen and I bebopped around Santa Barbara a bit. This is a status by Seward Johnson, who founded the sculpture park Grounds For Sculpture in northern New Jersey (You should go there if you haven’t before). We had lunch at a place called Mizza – boy was it good!
Next morning I got up and walked around some more. I love this architecture! Designed by a local named Jeff Shelton.

Then it was time to go back to the hotel, check out, and walk to the train station to head to LA. I decided to go Business Class since it wasn’t that much more expensive. Got a glass of wine and a snack box!

And then, we arrived to Union Station! There was a cute little puppet station. I should have taken a video instead of a photo. Oh well.
And, after being picked up by the hotel shuttle, I arrived at my room at the Omni. I’m an Omni member so I get some perks. Nice!
