Our hike this time was the Britt Trails which is just above the amphitheater in town.
It was a pretty hilly trail but pretty cool. And of course, now come a bunch of photos!
This was the sky just outside of the house. I thought it looked interesting

Now we’re in Forest Park

Old mining equipment

Later in the day we went for a drive to get some lunch – to 66 Smokehouse up in the mountains above Ashland.
Here are a bunch more photos!

This used to be a big lake with lots of recreation around

This all was lake too

This used to be a marina

After driving around the lake (by the way I just looked at a satellite view of this area on Google Maps and there is water in the lake somewhere. I think this end of it dried up though.
On the way back Carolyn noticed a sign for a winery so we went back to check it out – Belle Fiori. Really pretty!

On our way back we went through Ashland – and went to see yet another Roadside America spot!

These murals are all on the ceiling on the underside of a bridge!

After walking down the trail we emerged to see this sculpture

It was a nice day of activities!
