Last week I was relaxing in the evening when I received a text from an old co-worker who I hadn’t communicated with since 2023.
“Hey! How are you? M and I are in Cali – Mendocino. Where r u these days?”
Long story short, they did a road trip down from Seattle and were heading to Pacific Grove, which is one town over from where I am. It happened to be Car Week here and they had no idea that was going on. They were going to stay in the town where I live but the hotel prices were exorbitant (Best Western motel was $1500 a night!!)
So, I said, come stay with me! It turns out that M is a big motorhead so he was very excited to see Ferrari Day, plus all of the additional unofficial fancy schmancy cars.
We had a fantastic time together and vowed to not let so much time go by without catching up with each other. And they may come back next year for the entire car week!
