At the 55+ center that I’m a member of, another member is planning to have an art show displaying the works of her partner, who passed away a few years ago.
She had inquired with the Activities Director if there was someone who could play piano for part of the 2 hour show, and the Activities Director mentioned that she thought she had somebody, who was me.
It turns out the woman wanting the piano player was in the Drumming Circle with me and we used to sit next to each other and riff off of each other!
I told the Activities Director about that, and she told the woman, J, who apparently almost fell out of her chair when she heard the news – we had a great connection and I was excited to find out it was her for whom I’d be playing the piano.
Anyway, J and I had a phone call a few days later to discuss what she was looking for. And she told me that her partner’s mother had something big possibly happening and if it did, it was going to be really good.
And the person who will be instrumental in this has the exact same name as me! How about that???
