I remembered a few things after I posted the last post about my trip. Here they are:
- I finished writing about the trip one month to the day after I got back! (I know – who cares, right?)
- I forgot to mention two movies I watched during the 8.5 hour flight home – “A Ghost Story” with Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara, and Blade Runner 2049. I really liked both. AGS was pretty slow moving, but that’s what gave it the ‘right’ feel in my opinion. I thought it was quite thought provoking. I would say it’s probably one of those movies you either love or hate. So, I loved it! BR was awesome! I want to rewatch the original BR and then rewatch 2049 again.
In other news, I was watching American Idol last night, and they were talking about getting “chill bumps.” I’ve always called them “goose bumps” and then it got me thinking – “When did they change to chill bumps? Was it because using ‘goose’ is non-PC???” So, I Googled ‘chill bumps vs goose bumps’ and I found a site that I never would have thought would have even existed. There apparently are 7 different ways to describe these – a fact that apparently was determined by a ‘Dialect Survey.’ I’m including a link to the results. Kind of interesting anyway – check it out!

Another thing. I heard this song on the radio the other day – on Sirius – I think it was on Deep Tracks. I couldn’t get over how good this song is – recorded in 1967! So, go to the link and check it out. I’m not a huge jazz fan, and I’m not even sure if this is even jazz exactly, but, it has lots of layers and I really found it interesting. I had never even heard of Circus Maximus before.

Another song that I love love love is, oddly, by Jack White. I’m not a huge fan of White Stripes but there is something about this song that I really like.

It’s snowing outside on the first day of Spring, and there have been 5 deer hanging around the yard all day. Got some birdseed to keep the birdies fed during the storm. Hope I don’t lose power!
