Yesterday I had a reading with my friend Kristen White who is a psychic medium. (By the way – she is amazing – here is a link to her website: https://livingfullwellness.com/ ) Our conversation was very deep and healing. At one point we were talking about my grandmother. Continue reading “Wow!”
Yet Another Surprise
One night last week I was watching TV when I received a message on Facebook (FB) messenger. I looked at it and it was from my work friend Jenna, who I haven’t talked in quite a while. It should come as no surprise at this point, but I had been thinking about her! Continue reading “Yet Another Surprise”
A Nice Coincidence
I was walking into town yesterday, and was waiting to cross the street. A car was backing into a spot and was in front of me so I had to wait for them to move further backwards. After they did, I crossed the street and then all of a sudden I hear: “Hellooooo! Are you the lady that goes to KORi??” Continue reading “A Nice Coincidence”
Latest Painting
To thank Rich, who published me in 65mag.com, I did a painting of Carmel Beach. Here’s the painting and the photo that inspired it. Enjoy!

Opening My Rosebud Salve
I’ve had an unopened tin of Rosebud Salve for a while now (lip balm). It travelled with me out to CA and went through several temperature changes. So, it apparently melted a little bit. So, I could not get it OPEN!!!! Continue reading “Opening My Rosebud Salve”
Neurographica Manifestation and Detox!
I had been feeling “thick around the middle” for a while, and kind of had resigned myself to “this is what it’s like at ‘your age’.” But, I did a second Neurographica workshop a few weeks ago and decided to draw a manifestation drawing. One of the things I wanted to manifest was losing weight/inches.

After driving cross-country (and eating out the whole time) and then arriving in Carmel and staying in AirBnBs (and not cooking as much as I could have), and just generally developing not the best eating habits, it was time to make a change.
The Missing Package
Hay House has been showing up in my FB feed a lot lately, and recently they announced that everything in their store was 50% off, so I decided to order some stuff. Continue reading “The Missing Package”
Neurographica
I tried out a new thing at a 2-hr workshop the other week – Neurographica. Continue reading “Neurographica”
I Won A Painting! (and heard some great classical music)
The Bach Festival was here in Carmel for the last 2 weeks of July. I went to 3 different concerts over the course of those weeks. The first one I went to was on my birthday – “Into The Light: Songs of Beginnings.” This one was held at All Saints Church – walking distance away! Continue reading “I Won A Painting! (and heard some great classical music)”
A Surprising Day
Yesterday I had nothing on my calendar! So, first, I cleaned the floors. Vacuumed and then damp mopped. I used an eCloth swiffer-type mop. If you haven’t used eCloth products before, check them out! All you need is water and they remove 99% of all bacteria. https://us.e-cloth.com/
Then I strolled to the post office to check my mail, and then I decided to go to the Dawson Cole Gallery in town. I hadn’t been in in a long time. Here’s their link: https://www.carmel.dawsoncolefineart.com/ Continue reading “A Surprising Day”
A Commissioned Portrait
Through a series of random events (of course), I ended up being commissioned to paint Lisa’s (from Manzoni) dog for her husband’s birthday.
First, here is the dog, Anoosh (Armenian for sweetness):

I will say one thing – up front I should have asked for more photos of Anoosh. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to paint from a black and white photo (the painting was to be B&W also, so it seemed okay at the time) Continue reading “A Commissioned Portrait”
An Amazing Opportunity!
When I first got to Carmel, I met Rich. Rich publishes a magazine called 65/57. 65 is the average temperature in Carmel, and 57 is the average temperature in Napa.
I mentioned to Rich that I paint, and one day he asked if I could show him my work. So, I pulled up my blog, went to the My Artwork page and handed my phone over. As he scrolled, he said stuff like “I like that one” or “that one is nice.” And then he said, how about we do a piece about you for the July issue? Continue reading “An Amazing Opportunity!”
Weird Earring Happenings
In the past 2 weeks I’ve had some weird earring coincidences.
First, I travelled back to Delaware to check on the house and find some clothes to send to myself. First day into my trip, the earrings that I was wearing broke! Continue reading “Weird Earring Happenings”
I Love “Randomness”
The other day I bought a little decorative hanging thingie. I was going to hang it in the opening between the kitchen and the living room, but when I showed it to a friend of mine who was here, she said I should hang it in a window. Continue reading “I Love “Randomness””
Sight and Sound Top 100 Movies List – Part 1
I came across the Sight and Sound Top 100 Movies list in the Sunday 2/19/23 NY Times. It’s based on a Critics Poll and associated with the British Film Institute. I’m not going to include a link here because there are several different ones you can search on yourself. Continue reading “Sight and Sound Top 100 Movies List – Part 1”
