I spent the last few days in Hawaii not doing a ton of stuff. Had a great massage / body work session with Armando Rivas. If you’re ever in the Hilo area check him out. He does a lot beyond a regular massage.
Anyway, I have some catching up to do. One day I walked to the Wailoa Center which has a lot of art by local artists who are extremely talented. Here are some photos from my walk:

Okay, I guess this is the post where I wrap up about Hilo. I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Naniloa – made a number of friends at the hotel bar (funny how that happens) – Bethany, Scott and Ryan the bartenders, and then Chad who was there for work. The funny thing is, he was there when I was there before! Kinda miss them all a little bit. And, I did like Hilo a lot. And I figured out, wherever I end up living, I’m going to need to be near water. We’ll see what happens on the next leg of this adventure.
In the meantime, here are some photos from my one night stay in Waikiki. I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Splurged for a corner room (and got it half off!). It was a cute place and I kinda wish I had stayed maybe one more night. But, stood in line to check in for at least 45 minutes! Too many people!

Right now I’m in LA at an Embassy Suites. Probably wouldn’t stay here again – boy is it loud! But, everybody is nice. Going to leave the hotel in about an hour and a half and catch a bus to Santa Barbara for a week. Looking forward to being somewhere for more than one night. I need to reorganize my stuff.
