When Karen was here visiting, I came across a little book sitting on a rock next to the road. I picked it up and found a little piece of paper that indicated I could take it. So I did! Continue reading “What Have I Been Up To? Some Arty Stuff”
What Have I Been Up To? Some Touristy Stuff
As I said in my last post, my friend Karen came to visit me for a week and we did some touristy stuff. Continue reading “What Have I Been Up To? Some Touristy Stuff”
What Have I Been Up To? Astrology Soul Journey
Well, it’s been a while since I did an update, so here goes. My friend Karen was here to visit me for the last week and just left this morning so now I have some time to catch up. Continue reading “What Have I Been Up To? Astrology Soul Journey”
What Have I Been Up To? (there will be more of these coming …)
Ever since I got to Carmel, my body has just felt “old.” I think I mentioned I did get a massage, and I did a sound bath meditation, but I still just felt old. Continue reading “What Have I Been Up To? (there will be more of these coming …)”
What Have I Been Up To?
I’ve been in Carmel for 2 weeks now. Finally got motivated to drive the car a couple days ago and ended up driving yesterday too. Continue reading “What Have I Been Up To?”
An Interesting Day
I’m sure it’s obvious now how into I am about Faeries and things the Universe lines up for me. I’m also into Spirit Animals and stuff like that too, although I don’t know as much about that (but of course I have books about them!) Continue reading “An Interesting Day”
More Carmel
I’ve been here for about a week and a half now. Had a nice weekend – cousin Ted and his wife Amy stopped by on their way back home from Morro Bay on Friday, and one of my other cousins, Beanie, came down for a 1 night stay, and, their timing overlapped! Continue reading “More Carmel”
Po Po Shutdown
Yesterday was an interesting day. Went for a nice walk along Scenic Drive in the morning. Then walked around town in the afternoon. Had lunch outside at Alvarado Street Brewery and found a great cheese shop. Continue reading “Po Po Shutdown”
A Walk to Safeway
There were a few groceries that I hadn’t found in town, and it’s a beautiful day here so I decided to walk to the Safeway to pick up some things. As I mentioned in the previous post, it’s about 2 miles each way. I’ve walked over there on a past trip and didn’t think it would be too bad.
Around Town
Today is Tuesday so I’ve been in Carmel for 3 days now. I started writing a Trip Summary post but it’s going to take me some time to get it done because there are so many details from the trip that I want to look up.
So, I decided to write this post about how it’s been being here and add a bunch of photos. Continue reading “Around Town”
Day Fifteen – Carmel!!!!
I’ve been waking up really early – guess I’m still kind of on Central or Mountain or some other time zone than Pacific. So, got up, took my time getting ready and left the Kimpton around 9am. Continue reading “Day Fifteen – Carmel!!!!”
Day Fourteen – Santa Barbara, CA
Enjoyed a free buffet breakfast at the Hampton which was actually pretty good – scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and, yes, I had a turkey sausage. Sat out on my balcony to eat it but it started to get too hot and the sun was coming directly on me. Continue reading “Day Fourteen – Santa Barbara, CA”
Day Thirteen – Barstow CA
Loooong day of driving today – at least 355 miles. Across desert (the Mojave). And not much else. But I had psyched myself for it and took as many stops as I needed so it was all good. But boy was I glad to get out of the car!
Day Twelve – Flagstaff AZ
Had a bit of a long drive today, and it occurred to me that one of the most exhausting things about these drives is the road noise. Most of the roads are pretty rough. I had to turn up the volume on the car’s GPS because I couldn’t hear what it was telling me! Continue reading “Day Twelve – Flagstaff AZ”
Day Eleven – Albuquerque NM
Left the cute little motel in Tucumcari and got back on I-40 to head to Albuquerque. I thought it would be hotter but the temperatures have been pleasant. Continue reading “Day Eleven – Albuquerque NM”
