A Nice Coincidence

I was walking into town yesterday, and was waiting to cross the street.  A car was backing into a spot and was in front of me so I had to wait for them to move further backwards.  After they did, I crossed the street and then all of a sudden I hear: “Hellooooo!  Are you the lady that goes to KORi??” Continue reading “A Nice Coincidence”

A Surprising Day

Yesterday I had nothing on my calendar!  So, first, I cleaned the floors.  Vacuumed and then damp mopped.  I used an eCloth swiffer-type mop.  If you haven’t used eCloth products before, check them out!  All you need is water and they remove 99% of all bacteria. https://us.e-cloth.com/

Then I strolled to the post office to check my mail, and then I decided to go to the Dawson Cole Gallery in town.  I hadn’t been in in a long time.  Here’s their link: https://www.carmel.dawsoncolefineart.com/ Continue reading “A Surprising Day”

An Amazing Opportunity!

When I first got to Carmel, I met Rich.  Rich publishes a magazine called 65/57.  65 is the average temperature in Carmel, and 57 is the average temperature in Napa.

I mentioned to Rich that I paint, and one day he asked if I could show him my work.  So, I pulled up my blog, went to the My Artwork page and handed my phone over.  As he scrolled, he said stuff like “I like that one” or “that one is nice.”  And then he said, how about we do a piece about you for the July issue? A Familiar Song

OMG. I’m listening to the Light Classical station and the song they’re playing is the song my washer and dryer play when they’re done! Liszt “Die Forelle/The Trout.” I was sitting here thinking ‘that sounds so familiar …’ That is so hilarious! Who knew? Continue reading “A Familiar Song”

A Big Miracle

(I just want to make an aside note here – I couldn’t log into the blog one day in November.  After several attempts, I did a Google search and it said something about needing to change my cookie settings, which made no sense to me, so I sat on things for a while because I didn’t feel like dealing with it.  At any rate, a few days ago I had the idea to put in a trouble ticket with the people that host my blogsite, ICDSoft.  They not only fixed the issue and replied within about 2 minutes, but they showed me what the fix was.  There was some coding that had fancy quotes – the curved ones, instead of the simple ones like this one: ‘ and they had to change them to the simple ones and I was back in business!  YAY!  and kudos to ICDSoft – they are GREAT if you’re ever looking for someplace to host your stuff!  Okay, now, on with the show!)
