Road Trip Spring 2021 – Part 2 – Warren OH to East Lansing MI

So, the next morning I went down to the cafeteria at the hotel.  It was “grab n go” but somebody was there to do the grabbing for you.  So, I got a coffee and an egg and cheese sandwich (if I remember right it was Jimmy Dean.  Not the best, but, it served the purpose).  The coffee was good though.

Found a water machine to fill up my water bottles, got all the stuff back into the car, set the GPS and off I went. Continue reading “Road Trip Spring 2021 – Part 2 – Warren OH to East Lansing MI”

Road Trip Spring 2021 – Part 1 – Home to Warren OH

Yeah, welp, it’s been quite a while since I posted here.  Sorry about that!  I guess I really didn’t feel like I had much to post about.  I have done some paintings in between and perhaps I will post about them later, but, I do want to document my road trip before I forget more things.

So, in a previous post or two I’ve mentioned River, with whom I had a Tarot reading back in October.  As it turns out, he became my Spiritual Coach and we’ve been working together on that since October, meeting once a week via Zoom.  A few months ago we talked about meeting up in person, and in the last month or so we decided that the latter part of May would be a good time to do so.  My 2 weeks after being fully vaccinated was up on May 3 so the timing felt right. SoCal Winter 2020 – Part 2

OK, so, at the end of the previous post I had arrived at my hotel room at the Omni Hotel.  After settling in I walked the roughly 2 blocks to the Grand Central Market to see if I could find anything to eat.  I got some really good ceviche and guac and chips.  My room had a fridge so I saved some for my lunch on Saturday, since I took the healing workshop both Saturday and Sunday and I wasn’t sure how I would be able to go get lunch without a car.  And I luckily remembered to pack a little cooler bag so I could carry my lunch!  Sorry no photos of the food. SoCal Winter 2020 – Part 1

For the past several months or so, I have been doing this Breathwork as ‘developed’ by David Elliott.  It’s healing breath, and it’s pretty potent in my opinion, so, now that I know how to do it, I wanted to learn how to show others how to heal themselves with this breathwork.  I signed up for the Level 1 training (there are 5 levels) that took place in LA. Back from the Road Trip – Part 9 – Last Day of Driving

As I mentioned in my last post, I had an hour and a half drive to my hotel, which caused me to break one of my Road Trip Rules – no driving at night.  I didn’t really have a choice since I did a sunset tour, but it wasn’t too bad.  I also drove on a toll road – part of the PA turnpike – because I didn’t want to wander on backroads on top of driving at night.  It sucked, but, I just stayed in the slow lane and took my time and it was fine.  I got to the hotel a little after 9pm. Back from the Road Trip – Part 8 – Fallingwater

Got up early to leave Loveland OH and get to Fallingwater PA.  Had to get there by 4pm for my 4:30pm Sunset Tour – 2 hours plus hors d’oeuvres on the terrace afterwards!  If I took main highways and didn’t stop at all, it would be a 5 hour drive.  I opted to take back roads for about half of the drive, so, it ended up taking me about 7 hours.  But, I was mentally prepared, so no biggie. Back from the Road Trip – Part 6 – Lexington KY to Loveland OH

The next morning I was looking through some of the pamphlets I picked up at the Lexington Visitor Center, and started looking through one called “Map to the Stars.”  Although you may think ‘stars’ means Hollywood stars, these stars are actually stars of the Kentucky Derby, among others – that is, they are four-legged stars! Back from the Road Trip – Part 3 – On the Way to McMinnville TN

I did some research on smaller roads to take from Asheville NC to just outside Sweetwater TN.  I watched CBS This Morning a few weeks prior and came across a place I wanted to stop and see – The Lost Sea Adventure.

One of the roads I took was US Route 129.   Here are some pretty photos from the route along the way: Continue reading “Back from the Road Trip – Part 3 – On the Way to McMinnville TN”
